Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva has been linked with a move to Spanish club Barcelona.

Barcelona manager Xavi has reportedly met with Jorge Mendes, the agent of Bernardo Silva, to discuss a transfer.

Barcelona hope to pursue a transfer a Silva after selling midfielder Frenkie de Jong to Manchester United this summer.

Silva, who has made 251 appearances for Manchester City since joining from Monaco in 2017, refused to comment when questioned about Barcelona’s interest while on international duty with Portugal.

“Unfortunately, I won’t be able to answer, because I’m at the service of the national team and super focused on the game that remains,”said Silva as quoted by Daily Mail.

“When the season ends, we’ll see what happens.”

Meanwhile, this Premier League club is ready to pay Gabriel Jesus double what he earns at Manchester City.
