The agent of Manchester City forward Gabriel Jesus has travelled to England in a bid to wrap up his transfer from Manchester City this summer.

Jesus has just one year left on his Manchester City contract and is keen on leaving the Etihad Stadium this summer.

Man City have already brought in strikers Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund for £51m ($63m) and Julian Alvarez for £14m ($18m) from River Plate.

Manchester City have to sell the Brazil international this summer to avoid losing him for free next summer after Jesus refused signing a new contract.

Premier League side Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing the Manchester City forward.

Manchester City reportedly want £50million for the transfer of Gabriel Jesus with the club keen on raising money to sign Leeds United’s Kalvin Phillips and Marc Cucurella of Brighton.

Jesus has spent the last five years at the Etihad Stadium, but looks set to leave this summer after opting against extending his contract, which is due to expire next year.

Arsenal submitted an offer of £35million plus add-ons for Jesus last week which was rejected by Manchester City.

Mikel Arteta’s side are now reportedly preparing to send an improved offer for Jesus, with his representatives arriving in the UK.

Chelsea have also been linked with a move for the Brazil international, although it appears that Arsenal is his preferred destination.

Last season saw Jesus play a sporadic role in Guardiola’s title-winning side, finding the net eight times and providing nine assists in 28 appearances, although just over half of those were starts.

With his contract set to expire in the summer of 2023, City are eager to cash in on the striker while they can.

Jesus isn’t the only player likely to leave Manchester City this summer.

Everton are keen on Oleksandr Zinchenko to bolster their creativity in midfield, pushing him further forward from the left-back position where he has spent the majority of his time playing for City.

Chelsea are interested in signing Raheem Sterling, who has just one year left on his Manchester City contract.

Brazilian midfielder Fernandinho has already left after his contract expired.
