Leeds United midfielder Kalvin Phillips will undergo a medical on Friday ahead of his move to Manchester City, according to 90min.

Manchester City reached an agreement with Leeds United for the transfer of Phillips last week.

Manchester City will pay £42million for the England international with the possibility of a further £3m in add-ons.

Phillips will now return from his holidays in order to finalise his move to the Etihad Stadium.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola identified Phillips as a top midfield target for the club with club captain Fernandinho leaving the club as a free agent at the end of June.

Manchester City stepped up interest in Phillips after completing the signing of striker Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund last week.

The 26-year-old missed a fair chunk of the 2021/22 campaign with injuries, but returned just in time to help the Whites stave off relegation.

A product of Leeds’ academy, Phillips has made 234 appearances for his hometown club, with 49 coming in the top flight.

He played a key role as England reached the final of the Euros last year.

Meanwhile, French champions Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly open to letting Neymar join Manchester City this summer.

Paris Saint-Germain are open to selling Neymar this summer if an acceptable bid is lodged, according to Goal.

Neymar joined Paris Saint-Germain from Barcelona in the summer of 2017 for €222million, which remains the world transfer record.

The transfer was a serious statement of intent from the Ligue 1 club to cement their position as an European heavyweight.

However, Paris Saint-Germain are now open to selling Neymar for the right price this summer after a turbulent 2021-22 campaign.

Despite winning the French Ligue 1 last season, the PSG board are reportedly unhappy with the team’s performance last season given their early Champions League exit to Real Madrid.

The 30 year old Brazilian was heavily criticised by Paris Saint-Germain fans after their collapse against Real Madrid in the round of 16.

The Paris Saint-Germain board are also reportedly unhappy with Neymar’s attitude and on-field stagnation.
