Chelsea reach agreement with Manchester City for Raheem Sterling

Premier League rivals Cheslea have reportedly agreed a fee for Raheem Sterling with Manchester City.

The London side have had their sights on Sterling, 27, for a while now and their pursuit appears to have finally paid off, according to English journalist, Bobby Vincent. The deal is said to be worth £45 million, with an additional £10 million in add-ons.

Raheem Sterling has without a doubt, been one of the the Premier league’s finest players since his move from Liverpool in 2015, and between then and now, has scored an impressive 109 goals in 337 games for City.

Sterling, who also has 77 assists in that period, has however, fallen down the order of importance at the Etihad, starting just 23 matches for Pep Guardiola’s side in the 2021/22 season.

The arrivals of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez means that competition for places are only going to get tighter at City, and with just a year now remaining on his contract, Sterling is open to exploring his options.

The Englishman is said to be open to the idea of playing for Cheslea, after Thomas Tuchel personally gave him assurances he’ll be a part of his project at Stamford Bridge.
