Manchester City starlet Taylor Harwood-Bellis has revealed his eagerness to get started with his new club, Burnley, after completing a season-long loan move to Turf Moor.

The Clarets announced the signing of the central defender on Friday, after a few weeks of uncertainty around his future.

Speaking after the announcement, Harwood-Bellis, 20, could not contain his excitement, as he admitted he was eager to represent the Championship side.

“Huge step in my career joining this football club for the season!” he wrote on his official Instagram account.

“Buzzing to be here. Can’t wait to get the season started! @burnleyofficial”

Harwood-Bellis is still only 20, but the youngster has acquired a good amount of experience over the years. Not only has he been an integral part of the youth system at Manchester City, he has also been away on loan to a number of good teams.

Between 2020 and 2022, the teams he has played for include, Blackburn Rovers, Stoke City and Anderlecht, where City legend, Vincent Kompany, previously managed.

Meanwhile, Kompany will be hoping to make a mark at Burnley this season, after he was named their new manager weeks ago.

The former City defender has no doubt proven his worth as a player, but this is a different challenge, and we are sure he will be eager to impress his new employers, and perhaps bring them back to the English Premier League, following their sad relegation during the 2021-22 season.
