Manchester City signed Julian Alvarez in January with the 22 year old Argentina forward to join the club this summer.

With the 22 year old forward still playing for River Plate in Argentina, many Manchester City fans have been left wondering when Julian Alvarez will arrive in England this summer.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has now revealed the date Julian Alvarez will arrive in England to begin his Man City career.

Romano said: “Julian Alvarez will travel to Manchester on July 8 in order to start his new chapter as Man City player.

“The club will sell Sterling once agreement with Chelsea will be completed and keep Alvarez as part of the team.

“Manchester City will also discuss new deal for Mahrez.”

While Alvarez could act as a deputy to Erling Haaland next season, the 22 year old forward is capable of playing in all three positions across the forward line.

This could add an extra dimension to Manchester City’s attacking threat, and possibly even rule out the need for a direct Raheem Sterling replacement.

Meanwhile, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has identified Bayern Munich forward Serge Gnabry as a replacement for Sterling.

Gnabry, who recently rejected a new contract from Bayern Munich worth £200,000-a-week, has just one year left on his Bayern Munich contract.

Manchester City can sign Gnabry from Bayern Munich this summer for just £35million.
