Premier League club Chelsea are still focused on signing Manchester City star Raheem Sterling this summer, according to Daily Mail.

Chelsea are in advanced talks with Manchester City for Raheem Sterling, who could cost around £50million and the England international remains their number one target this summer.

Manchester City are prepared to let Sterling leave for a fee of around £50million because the England international has one year left on his contract and doesn’t want to extend.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel is reportedly a huge fan of Sterling, and the 27-year-old is keen on discussing a return to London, where much of his family still lives.

Meanwhile, Manchester City are reportedly looking to beat Chelsea to the signing of Matthijs de Ligt from Juventus by offering a swap deal.

Chelsea are looking to bolster their back line this summer after losing two of their main centre backs in Andreas Christiansen and Antonio Rudiger, following the expiration of their contracts.

Manchester City are also interested in De Ligt, and are willing to offer Oleksandr Zinchenko and Ilkay Gundogan in exchange for the Dutchman.

Matthijs de Ligt reportedly has a release clause of €115million in his Juventus contract and joined the Italian side from Ajax in 2019.
