Manchester City forward Raheem Sterling is closing in on a move to Chelsea after agreeing personal terms with the West London club.

Sterling, who has less than 12 months remaining on his deal at the Etihad, opted to join Chelsea after receiving assurances from Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel that he would be a guaranteed starter, something Pep Guardiola couldn’t offer him at Manchester City.

According to Daily Mail, Manchester City will receive £55million from Chelsea for the transfer of Raheem Sterling.

Raheem Sterling, who earned £300,000-a-week at Man City, has agreed to join Chelsea and would earn £315,000-a-week.

Sterling will be remembered fondly by Manchester City fans after lifting four Premier League titles under Pep Guardiola.

Only Riyad Mahrez and Kevin De Bruyne scored more goals than Sterling last season and it remains to be seen whether Guardiola looks for a replacement in attacking areas.
