Premier League rival Chelsea will complete the signing of Raheem Sterling from Manchester City today, according to Ben Jacobs of CBS Sports.

Chelsea reached a verbal agreement with Manchester City last week to sign Sterling for £45million which could rise to £55million.

The deal was finalised this week with Sterling agreeing personal terms with Chelsea that will see him earn around £315,000-a-week at Stamford Bridge.

Sterling reportedly had discussions with Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly and Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel before agreeing personal terms.

Tuchel reportedly explained in “meticulous detail” Sterling’s role in the team and the England international was convinced moving to Chelsea was the right move for him.

Manchester City always wanted £90 million (guaranteed) for Gabriel Jesus and Sterling.

Meanwhile, Serbian FA president Nenad Bjekovic has claimed Juventus forward Dusan Vlahovic is a better player than Manchester City striker Erling Haaland.

According Bjekovic, Dusan Vlahovic is a more complete striker than Erling Haaland.

“Vlahovic is better and more complete than Haaland,” Bjekovic told Tuttosport when asked to stack the two stars together.

“The Norwegian has devastating power, but Dusan is not inferior: there is also very little difference in their height.

“But the Juventus forward’s variety and styles of player is better. Manchester City and Juventus paid more or less the same fee, including commissions, to sign the two this year from Borussia Dortmund and Fiorentina.”
