Erling Haaland or Darwin Nunez – Former Chelsea striker reveals who will score more goals

Manchester City and Liverpool strengthened their attacks this summer by signing Erling Haaland for £51million and Darwin Nunez for a deal that could reach up to £85m respectively.

Many are beginning to wonder who will end up being the better signing.

Former Chelsea striker Chris Sutton has said Darwin Nunez is a top signing for Liverpool, but he also believes Erling Haaland may beat him in the race for the Golden Boot.

“It’s an interesting one with Haaland signing for Manchester City,” said former Blackburn Rovers  and Chelsea striker Sutton.

“I like him (Nunez), saw him in the Champions League.

“He’s a good centre-forward and good in the air. Liverpool may have lacked a central striker that’s good in the air.

“Finishes off well with both feet. Likes to come off that left-hand side. I think they have signed a really good player.”

When asked who will score more goals, Nunez or Haaland, Sutton replied: “I think Haaland is the real deal. I think Nunez is good. But Haaland, he is unplayable.”

Nunez, 23, scored 26 goals in 28 league matches for Benfica last season, with 34 goals in 41 games in all competitions.

Erling Haaland, 21, scored 22 goals in 24 Bundesliga games last season, with 29 goals in 30 games in all competitions.

The race for the Golden Boot next season will definitely be a tough one.
