Premier League rivals Arsenal are interested in signing Manchester City left-back/midfielder Oleksandr Zinchenko this summer.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City will move for Brighton left-back Marc Cucurella should Oleksandr Zinchenko join Arsenal.

Romano tweeted: “Manchester City are still targeting Marc Cucurella, no changes – talks will enter into important stages in case Oleksandr Zinchenko joins Arsenal. City are open to let Zinchenko leave this summer.

“Arsenal working on Zinchenko deal. Sergio Gómez, back up option.”

The Athletic has also previously confirmed that Arsenal are interested in signing Zinchenko this summer.

The report adds that Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is okay with the Ukraine international leaving the Etihad Stadium for the right price and Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta wants to make the swoop.

Arsenal are reportedly prioritising a deal for Zinchenko after missing out on Ajax’s Lisandro Martinez to Manchester United.

If Arsenal successfully complete a deal for Zinchenko, the Ukraine international will be the second Manchester City star to leave for Arsenal this summer after Gabriel Jesus earlier in the transfer window.

Zinchenko has been at Manchester City since 2016, when he was signed from Russian side Ufa. He spent time on loan at Dutch outfit PSV Eindhoven before forcing his way into the first team setup at City.

The Ukraine international was signed as a midfielder and still plays in that role for his country but he has been mostly used by Guardiola at Manchester City as a left-back.

Zinchenko has made 127 appearances in all competitions for the current Premier League holders. He has four Premier League titles to his name.
