Manchester City have reached an agreement with Premier League rivals Arsenal for the transfer of Ukraine international Oleksandr Zinchenko.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal will pay Manchester City £30million for the transfer of Oleksandr Zinchenko to the Emirates Stadium.

Zinchenko is now discussing personal terms with Arsenal, with wages and length of contract yet to be finalised.

Romano said: “Arsenal and Manchester City have now reached verbal agreement in principle for Oleksandr Zinchenko, fee around £30m. Personal terms are still discussed.

“Salary and length of contract, in negotiation – key step to complete the agreement.”

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is keen on signing Zinchenko, capable of playing at left back and in midfield, for additional versatility within the squad as they hunt for a return to the Champions League.

The 25-year-old is hoping for more game time with a move to Arsenal after playing 15 times last season for Manchester City.
