Brighton left-back Marc Cucurella is reportedly disappointed with Brighton’s high asking price and has told the Premier League side he only wants to join Manchester City, according to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.

Brighton rejected a £30million bid from Manchester City and are reportedly demanding Manchester City pay £50million for the left-back.

Talks between Manchester City and Brighton are continuing as the Premier League champions look to complete a move for Cucurella.

The 23-year-old joined Brighton from Getafe in August 2021 and enjoyed an impressive debut season in the Premier League.

Romano wrote: “Marc Cucurella only wants Man City. He told Brighton staff weeks ago his intention to leave the club if Man City came with good offer, and he’s now disappointed because of the high price tag.

“Talks between clubs continue, all parties are in direct contact.”
