According to Spanish media outlet Sport via Manchester Evening News, Brighton left-back Marc Cucurella has told the club he wants to join Manchester City.

With Oleksandr Zinchenko joining Arsenal, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola wants to sign Cucurella as a replacement.

The report also adds that Cucurella is unhappy that Brighton are demanding a fee of £50million for his transfer to Manchester City.

Brighton are in a strong negotiating position as they know City have just received the transfer fee for Zinchenko and have an alarming lack of cover at left-back.

Cucurella joined Brighton last summer from Getafe for a reported fee of £15million.
