“He’s insanely good” – Man City striker Erling Haaland names the world-class player he wants to emulate

Manchester City striker Erling Haaland has named Real Madrid captain Karim Benzema as the player he wants to emulate

The Norwegian described the Frenchman as “insanely good” and hailed the veteran striker for developing himself into being a better player in recent seasons.

Speaking to FourFourTwo, the 22-year-old said (via the Manchester Evening News): “I don’t know what will happen, but it must always be about learning, about developing. You can never stop looking for new ways to become better.”

He added, “Look at Karim Benzema at Real Madrid. He’s 34 now, and suddenly he’s developed into an even better player over the last couple of years – that is insanely good. I want to always do that.”

Meanwhile, Haaland who completed a summer move to Manchester City from Borussia Dortmund has enjoyed an impressive start to his career at the Etihad Stadium, scoring three goals in three Premier League games for the club.
