According to L’Equipe, French giants PSG have reportedly submitted a surprise €70m (£59m) bid to sign Manchester City playmaker Bernardo Silva.

However, the Ligue 1 side have seen their offer ourightly rejected by the club hierarchy as we have no intention to sell the player with our transfer business for this summer done and dusted.

City CEO Ferran Soriano recently claimed after the club’s charity match against FC Barcelona that Silva will not be leaving the club which means that PSG stand next-to-no chance of signing the 28-year-old.

Meanwhile, PSG’s offer falls short of the club’s £84m valuation of the player. Another stumbling block to the deal is the possibility of signing a replacement for manager Pep Guardiola before Thursday’s transfer deadline next week that can even match the quality the midfielder can provide.
