Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has conform Manchester City trio Nathan Ake, Jack Grealish and Kalvin Phillips are unavailable for tonight’s Premier League game against Nottingham Forest.

However, Guardiola is optimistic they will be available for selection for the weekend’s game against Aston Villa.

England international Grealish has been sidelined since our win over Bournemouth just over a fortnight ago, while Dutch defender Nathan Ake was forced off after sustaining a groin injury against Newcastle United 10 days ago. Phillips, meanwhile, picked up a knock in last week’s charity match away to Barcelona.

“I saw them in the training session, close, running on the other pitch with the ball. They are both, Nathan as well, much, much better,” Guardiola confirmed.

“We will see for Aston Villa (on Saturday) or the Champions League or the next one, Spurs. They are closer and we will need them as we have few players.”
