Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly joined the race to sign highly-rated Manchester City attacker Adedire Mebude.

The 18-year-old whose contract at City expires in 2024, is one of the top scorers in the Under-21s league with three goals in his first four games this season.

The London-born player operates primarily on the right but he is also capable of playing wide left.

So far, contract talks between the skillful youngster and the club have stalled, leaving the door open for rival clubs to pounce.

Spurs are among the English clubs ready to sign the Scotland Under-19 international on a permanent deal, with Southampton and Newcastle also monitoring his situation.

There is also interest from European clubs, with PSV Eindhoven and Club Brugge keen.
