Manchester City are close to completing the best signing of the season with City boss Pep Guardiola set to sign a two-year contract that will keep him at City until 2025.
The Catalan was in Abu Dhabi over the weekend, attending the Formula 1 Grand Prix, and he has been able to hold talks with club chiefs over his contract situation.
Guardiola’s current Manchester City contract expires at the end of the season and extending the contract of the Spanish tactician will definitely be the best signing of the season for Manchester City.
This season is Guardiola’s seventh season at Manchester City and he’s never stayed at any club for longer than four years previously. His new two-year deal will see him spend nine years at Manchester City.
Guardiola signed his last contract in November 2020, when it was also in its final year, and that was also a two-year extension.
