Phil Foden scored in his first start at the World Cup as England beat Wales 3-0 on Tuesday night.

Foden revealed after the game that his best position is the No.10 which left England boss Gareth Southgate puzzled.

Speaking to talkSPORT, Southgate said of Foden’s comment: “But he never plays there, does he? So it’s a bit hard to work that out!

“I can see why. We need a bit of evidence of it being used at times!”
