Manchester City must pay a British transfer record fee to sign 19 year old midfielder Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund next summer, according to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Germany.
Manchester City are keen on signing Bellingham this summer as the long-term futures of both Ilkay Gundogan and Bernardo Silva remain uncertain.
Gundogan is out of contract at the end of the season while Bernardo Silva has hinted he could leave the club this summer.
Bellingham is also attracting interest from Real Madrid, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United.
“He has a contract without a release clause, so the price tag is very high. Dortmund want to have between €100m-€150m for him in the summer,” said Plettenberg.
Jack Grealish’s £100million transfer to Manchester City from Aston Villa is the current British transfer record.
