Pep Guardiola believes Manchester City’s reputation has been impacted regardless of the outcome of the case brought by the Premier League.
The Premier League has charged Manchester City of breaching financial rules over a 100times but Manchester City denied any wrongdoing.
Guardiola sees the accusations as as a witch-hunt against the club.
“It is already damaged [us as a club],” Guardiola said. “It [the result of the charges] is not going to change anything. The UEFA case didn’t change anything [City won their Financial Fair Play case on appeal]. It didn’t change the reputation but we know what we have done.
“Forget what other people think about us. We have won a lot. I want to defend our position. I want to defend my title. If the players want to come, delighted. If they don’t want to come, Ok, we play with what we have.”
