Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has explained why Manchester City must forget about winning the treble this season.

Manchester City remain in contention to win the Premier League, Champions League and FA Cup this season.

“No, forget about it. Forget it. When you start to talk about that, you start to lose competitions and drop competitions,” Guardiola said after Manchester City’s 3-0 win over Bristol City in the FA Cup on Tuesday night.

“We are not ready. Not even one second to think about that, we just think about [next game against] Newcastle.”
