Ilkay Gundogan’s agent has denied claims the Manchester City midfielder has decided to leave Manchester City amid interest from Barcelona.
The 32-year-old’s contract at City is set to expire at the end of June – meaning he could leave the club on a free transfer this summer.
Gundogan has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona – with the LaLiga giants prepared to offer him a two-year deal, according to Sport.
However, Gundogan’s agent has said the 32-year-old’s future remains up in the air and insisted the midfielder was focused on the current Premier League campaign.
“There’s definitely no agreement yet with any club,” said Ilhan Gundogan, the player’s uncle and agent via the Guardian. “The focus of Ilkay in recent weeks was only on Manchester City and the birth of his son.”
The 32-year-old’s agent went on to say: “Now Gundogan is in the final and crucial phase of the season and is completely focused on that. Where Ilkay plays next season is still open.”
