According to Fichajes via Sports Mole, Manchester City are interested in signing Real Madrid left-back Ferland Mendy in the summer.
Manchester City face competition from Premier League leaders Arsenal for the 27 year old left-back, with both clubs prepared in the region of €60m (£53m) for his transfer.
The report claims that Real Madrid are willing to sell the Frenchman, viewing him as a player capable of raising a healthy transfer fee in the summer market.
David Alaba and Nacho are both options for Real Madrid at left-back, while it is understood that Fran Garcia will be returning to Bernabeu this summer from Rayo Vallecano.
Mendy has made 130 appearances for Real Madrid since joining from French club Lyon in 2019, contributing five goals and 10 assists in the process.
Mendy has won two La Liga titles, two Spanish Super Cups, the Champions League and the UEFA Super Cup during a successful period in the Spanish capital.
