Gary Neville believes Arsenal will win the 2022-23 Premier League title if they beat Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, April 9.
The Gunners travel to Merseyside to face Jurgen Klopp’s team in their next top-flight fixture having beaten Leeds United 4-1 at the Emirates on Saturday.
League leaders Arsenal are currently eight points clear of second-placed Manchester City and have nine fixtures left, although Pep Guardiola’s side have a game in hand.
“It’s 50-50,” Neville told Sky Sports. “My mind was certain that Manchester City were going to win the league about six to eight weeks ago.
“I absolutely thought that by now Arsenal would have dropped lots of points and they would not be where they are. But now I think it’s 50-50.
“I’m not going to put everything on the Liverpool game (on April 9), but our manager used to say if you won at Anfield at this time of year you would win the league.
“Quite often that proved to be the case. If Arsenal go to Anfield and win, I would say definitely it would be their title.
“The confidence from that would be unbelievable. Anfield is a terror of a place to go.”
