Gabby Agbonlahor believes Jack Grealish is owed an apology from his critics after his Manchester City masterclass in the 4-1 victory over Liverpool last Saturday.
As well as grabbing a goal and an assist, Grealish wreaked havoc on Jurgen Klopp’s defence as City kept the pressure on Arsenal in the Premier League title race.
Agbonlahor told talkSPORT: “I thought that Jack was outstanding. It was his best game in a Manchester City shirt, for sure.
“I think that a lot of people out there owe him an apology – all the people that have phoned up and said ‘he’s not worth £100million’, ‘he’s not this, he’s not that’.
“But all the players who have come from a different league or have been allowed a bit of time to get used to a different manager – Jack’s had his time his time with Pep Guardiola.
“He’s got used to the tactics and now he’s putting in outstanding performances.”
