Erling Haaland has handed a Manchester City a major injury boost after he returned to training on Wednesday.

Haaland, who has scored 42 goals in all competitions for Manchester City this season, suffered a minor groin injury ahead of Norway’s Euro 2024 qualifiers against Spain and Georgia and pulled out of Stolle Solbakken’s squad.

The Norwegian striker missed Manchester City’s 4-1 thrashing of Liverpool last Saturday due to the injury but has now returned to training ahead of this weekend’s game against Southampton.
