
Manchester City and Real Madrid are in a battle for 17 year old Argentina wonderkid Claudio Echeverri, according to a report on The Hard Tackle.
The report adds: “According to a report by Fichajes, Real Madrid and Manchester City are interested in signing Claudio Echeverri.
“The 17-year-old has been the talk of the town of late. And his impressive performances have attracted a lot of attention, with several big clubs expected to push for his signature in the summer.
“The Argentina Under-17 star is doing wonders in a South American Under-17 tournament currently being played in Ecuador. The River Plate star has featured in three matches and has three goals as well as three assists to his name.
“Echeverri is currently a part of the River Plate youth academy. He has gone from strength to strength while playing for the Argentine club. The 17-year-old attacking midfielder has impressed with his consistent performances.
“His contract with River Plate runs until the winter of 2025. However, he is expected to part ways with the club, given the amount of interest in his services. The 17-year-old is on the radar of two of the biggest clubs in the world, Real Madrid and Manchester City.
“Both the teams have been scouting him of late and will look to sign him ahead of next season.”
