Former Manchester City star Dietmar Hamman didn’t hold back when discussing Pep Guardiola ahead of Manchester City’s clash with Bayern Munich.

Hamman, who spent three seasons at City, racking up 71 appearances, criticised Guardiola’s lack of success in Europe’s elite competition with Manchester City.

“Guardiola has not managed anything that others have not managed,” the German told Solinger Tageblat.

“Everybody tells you that Pep Guardiola is the super father of coaches. But he was in a Champions League final in with Man City, and he lost that himself.

“And now people tell me he’s the best manager in the world, I’m sorry.”
