Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has given his verdict on the decision of his former club Bayern Munich to hire Thomas Tuchel as their manager.
Tuchel and not Julian Nagelsmann would be in the dugout when Manchester City take on Bayern Munich in the Champions League tonight.
Nagelsmann was sacked by Bayern Munich during the international break last month with Tuchel hired as his replacement.
Asked for his opinion on Tuchel going to Bayern Munich, Guardiola said: “I was surprised as I was with Nagelsmann (getting sacked). I cannot give a real opinion.
“When a manager is sacked and the next manager is doing well, people say it’s a good decision. When opposite, they miss the old manager.”
