Bayern Munich midfielder Joshua Kimmich believes they matched Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium despite the 3-0 defeat.

Rodri, Bernardo Silva and Erling Haaland all scored as Manchester City beat Bayern Munich 3-0 in the first-leg of the quarter-final Champions League tie.

Kimmich told Prime Video: “It sounds silly in a 3-0 loss, but we definitely saw today that it is possible to match them and to win. I have the confidence in myself and my team that we can get something in the return leg.”
