Manchester City have been working on signing Borussia Dortmund midfielder and England international Jude Bellingham for the past six months, according to The Sun via Metro.co.uk.
With Real Madrid, Manchester United and Chelsea also interested in signing the 19 year old midfielder, Manchester City have been quietly working away in the background since last October in an effort to land the teenager.
Bellingham played against City in the Champions League earlier this season and after the home match at the Etihad – which was a goalless draw – he was invited into the Manchester City dressing room.
He was given the top of his old Borussia Dortmund team-mate Erling Haaland and City feel the presence of the Norwegian striker could play a massive role in Bellingham’s transfer decision.
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has made Bellingham his priority signing this summer and the reigning champions are said to be confident of winning any bidding war.
