Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola was delighted with the performance of Manchester City defender John Stones in the 3-1 victory over Leicester City on Saturday.
Stones, with a superb opener, and an Erling Haaland double had City 3-0 ahead before Kelechi Iheanacho pulled one back for the visitors.
Asked about his performance, Guardiola said: “Today he played as a defender. He played with three in the back, with Kyle (Walker) wide on the right.”
“He is intelligent, a top class player who can play in many positions.”
