Tottenham Hotspur are considering hiring former Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany as their new manager, according to Daily Mail.
Kompany is emerging as one of the most promising coaches in English football having already secured Burnley an instant return to the Premier League.
Kompany is among the names under consideration at Tottenham, but it is believed there is some apprehension from some figures at the north London club about his lack of experience.
Spurs have watched Mikel Arteta, who had no management experience, turn Arsenal into title contenders and believe they could also do the same at Tottenham by hiring Vincent Kompany.
Amid interest from Tottenham Hotspur, Burnley are determined to keep Kompany and are prepared to offer their head coach an improved contract to persuade him to stay even though his current terms still have a minimum three years to run.
