Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola insists Bayern Munich’s success in the Champions League in the past means nothing when both teams meet on Wednesday.
Bayern Munich have won the Champions League six times compared to Manchester City who are yet to win the competition.
“The history is there but we are playing against 11 and subs,” Guardiola said.
“We don’t play against what they’ve achieved – but when you have something like that, the belief is something special.
“It’s nice for us to challenge them and travel around Europe to play these teams and being there when one decade ago we watched on TV.
“It’s nice to be here and try to make the semi once again.
“This is our model. What do you do to achieve it, be yourself as much as possible and do your game as much as possible.”
