Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand has heaped praise on Jack Grealish for ‘doing everything’ Pep Guardiola wants him to do at Manchester City.

“With Jack, he hasn’t scored the goals that some other wide players have scored and he hasn’t had the assists,” Ferdinand told Vibe with FIVE. “But his impact on the team and his importance on this Man City team can’t go unnoticed.

“He takes the ball under pressure, relieves pressure for his team, his positioning, his defensive work is outrageous – like we saw against Liverpool – and he’s impacting big games and big moments.

“He’s putting the ball on a plate for players like Haaland to score the goals. He’s doing everything that I’m sure Pep wanted him to do.”
