Fulham boss Marco Silva has given his verdict on Manchester City’s 2-1 victory over Fulham at Craven Cottage on Sunday.

Marco Silva told Sky Sports: “Difficult to take as always when you lose a game and were competitive. Proud of our players to be honest, it’s not easy to play against City and concede in the first minute of the match. We should’ve started the game stronger.

“In the second half we tried. We didn’t give them many chances. The game was open until the end. Unfortunately we didn’t get the goal towards the end.

“The worst thing about today is the two injured players we got. It’s been tough for us these past few weeks.”

On the injuries to Tim Ream and Andreas Pereira: “They are both in hospital. They both look serious injuries. Tim Ream looks like a fracture in his arm. Let’s wait to see if it’s not serious with Andreas [Pereira].”
