Manchester City captain Ilkay Gundogan has pinpointed the two matches that changed Manchester City’s season.
“Most of the time, there’s one game that kind of changes things, and I would probably say (this season) there were two games,” Gundogan told Sky Sports.
“One was the first match playing at the Emirates against Arsenal, and winning it, and then just to go to Nottingham Forest a few days later and drop two very important points by conceding one goal in the 84th minute.
“The week between Arsenal and Nottingham Forest was quite crucial, especially if you look at the results since then; I think we’ve done amazingly, and we are on track.”
Since winning at the Emirates and then dropping points against Nottingham Forest, Manchester City have won eight straight games in the league.
