The report adds: “Manchester City attacking midfielder James McAtee is being linked to various Premier League and Championship clubs.

“Burnley are said to be the latest team monitoring his situation as the summer transfer window approaches.

“McAtee has been outstanding at Sheffield United this season, who are being promoted to the top flight along with Burnley.

“Per The Mail, Burnley boss Vincent Kompany may use his City connections to secure McAtee for next season.

“City have yet to decide if they will send him out on loan, but teams will be lining up if they do.

“The England U21 international is likely to sign a new contract with the Sky Blues in the summer.”
