Spanish giants Barcelona are in advanced talks to sign Manchester City captain Ilkay Gundogan as a free agent at the end of the season, according to Sport via GOAL.

Gundogan’s £140,000-a-week Manchester United contract expires at the end of the season and the 32 year old midfielder is yet to sign a new contract with Manchester City.

The report adds: “Barcelona’s negotiations with Ilkay Gundogan are at an advanced stage, according to Sport.

“Gundogan sees his contract at Manchester City expires in the summer, and he would be a free agent if he leaves.”
