Manchester City striker Erling Haaland will earn as much as £5million if Manchester City win the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League this season, according to The Express.
Haaland has been unstoppable for City this season, scoring 51 goals for Manchester City in all competitions. He has also broken the league’s record for most goals in a single campaign.
The report adds: “Haaland will bank himself £1m if he can help City to domestic success, with £1m also the bonus for winning the Champions League.
“Success in the FA Cup final next month against Manchester United would also prove lucrative for the forward, with a bonus of £350,000 available for winning the competition.
“Haaland has other award-driven clauses written into his contract at the Etihad Stadium, with breaking the Premier League record for most goals in a season expected to have banked him a similar amount already.
“Haaland will also earn more if he collects any awards at the end of the campaign, with the PFA Player of the Year, Football Writer’s Player of the Year and featuring in the PFA Team of the Year all said to have bonuses attached to them.
“Lionel Messi is a firm favourite to win the Ballon d’Or this year after guiding Argentina to victory at the Qatar World Cup, though Haaland’s sensational form puts him in the frame to win the award for the first time. The towering forward would, again, earn £1m for achieving such a feat, with City winning the Treble certain to bolster his chances up against one of the all-time greats.”
