Manchester City are interested in signing AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer, according to Manchester Evening News.
The report adds: “Bennacer has been hugely impressive across a range of midfield roles since joining AC Milan in 2019, helping them to the Serie A title last season. The Algeria international has two goals and two assists from 28 appearances so far this campaign and will feature in the Champions League semi-finals.
“Guardiola has reportedly spoken to the 25-year-old in the past about a move to the Etihad, and the Blues boss could be forced to act after Arsenal expressed interest of their own.
“Bennacer recently signed a new deal with Milan that could keep him at the San Siro until 2027, although that contract is reported to include a release clause of around £50million.”
