Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has revealed Real Madrid defender Antonio Rudiger will start against Manchester City on Wednesday after he was rested in Real Madrid’s 1-0 victory over Getafe on Saturday.
The German centre-back was one of the outstanding performers in the first leg, keeping City striker Erling Haaland quiet at the Bernabéu.
“He was tired, I have rested him so he will be fresh on Wednesday. Yes, he will play, I don’t know how many minutes, but he will play. And I also say that he will start the game,” Ancelotti said.
