Pep Guardiola is unhappy with the advantage Real Madrid over Manchester City ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League semi-final clash at the Etihad Stadium.
Real Madrid played their league game against Getafe on Saturday while Manchester City will play against Everton on Sunday. This means Real Madrid have one day more than Manchester City to recover.
Guardiola said: “I’m pretty sure the Premier League wants to help the teams.
“Don’t make them uncomfortable. It’s the schedule. You have to adapt, so what can I do? We would have preferred to play Saturday. We have one more day to recover for Everton, we will have one less day for Real Madrid but we have more days to recover for the Premier League.
“How busy was the Champions League match on Tuesday? When do you win the game earlier, you feel better.”
