Arsenal legend Martin Keown has blamed Manchester City’s victory over Everton at Goodison for Arsenal’s defeat to Brighton.

Manchester City beat Everton 3-0 at Goodison Park on Sunday before Arsenal lost 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium to Brighton.

Keown believes Arsenal players were affected in their game against Brighton by Man City’s earlier result against Everton.

Speaking on talkSPORT with former Crystal Palace owner, Simon Jordan, Keown said: “The biggest problem vs Brighton was Man City winning at Everton!”

To which Jordan responded: “Oh, give over! Everyone knew Man City would beat Everton!”
