According to Sky Sports, Manchester City captain Ilkay Gundogan has emerged as a potential transfer target for Premier League rival Arsenal.

Gundogan is out of contract this summer and is also attracting interest from Spanish side Barcelona.

Last month, the midfielder said talks with Manchester City were ongoing. City boss Pep Guardiola has made it clear he wants Gundogan to stay.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta worked closely with Gundogan when he was assistant to Guardiola at City.
