Manchester City are interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Marco Verratti with the French club said to be open to selling the midfielder this summer, according to a report on Daily Mail.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is keen on signing Verratti this summer and sees the Italian international as a priority target.

Verratti has had a patchy season in France, only registering one assist and failing to score in his 38 appearances for the Parisian giants. 

The 30 year old midfielder hired additional home security after being among the PSG stars targeted by fan protests at the start of the month, along with Neymar Jnr and Lionel Messi.
