According to a report on Metro, Arsenal held talks to sign Manchester City full-back Joao Cancelo.

After securing a second-placed finish in the Premier League this season, Mikel Arteta is looking to strengthen in several areas in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Cancelo joined Bayern Munich on loan in January after falling out with Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola and he is expected to leave the club permanently this summer.

Manchester City want €70million for the transfer of Cancelo but Arsenal are reportedly not willing to meet Manchester City’s valuation of Cancelo.
