According to Football Insider, Manchester City star Riyad Mahrez has been offered a three year contract worth around £800,000 per week by Saudi club Al-Ahli.

However, Mahrez, who has two years left on his Manchester City contract, has turned down the offer from Saudi Arabia.

Football Insider adds that Al Ahli are refusing to give up on signing  Mahrez and are preparing to come back with a new improved offer for him in the next days.

Mahrez was part of a Manchester City team that won the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League this season. The Algeria international made 47 appearances for City across all competitions and was in the starting lineup for 36 of those.

Mahrez joined the Cityzens from Leicester City in 2018 after he helped Leicester City to their first Premier League title in 2016.

Since his arrival at the Etihad, the winger has made 236 appearances for the Manchester club and has scored 78 goals and offered up 59 assists in those outings.

Al Ahli spent the 2022-23 season in the Saudi second division but have been promoted straight back to the Saudi Pro League after winning the second division title.
